Ryan has spent over two decades guiding across Southwest Alaska—from the Katmai backcountry to the remote waters of the Togiak Wildlife Refuge. Now in his fifth season at Sandy River Lodge, he’s here for the fish, the crew, and the shared experience that keeps good days great. When he’s not chasing steelhead and kings on the Sandy, he’s guiding close to home on Washington’s Olympic Peninsula. Ryan lives in Forks with his wife Elyse, their three kids, and two trusty labs—and if it swims in a river, odds are he’s fished it.
