Jerry French

Guide

Jerry French grew up in Darrington, Washington, where the Skagit and Sauk Rivers shaped a lifelong passion for swinging flies for steelhead and salmon. He brings more than 35 years of experience chasing anadromous fish and over 25 seasons guiding across Alaska and the Pacific Northwest.

Jerry has guided on Alaska’s Kanektok, Alagnak, and Kvichak Rivers, as well as his home waters on the Skagit and Sauk. Along the way he helped shape modern Skagit-style Spey casting and Intruder-style flies—techniques now used by anglers around the world.

He’s been married for 16 years and still calls the Pacific Northwest home, where rivers and fly fishing remain at the center of his life.
