A great place to see a little bit of everything about the Aleutians is the Museum of the Aleutians-Dutch Harbor.

Before Alaska was purchased from Russia by the United States, the Aleutian Islands were heavily influenced by the Russian domain in Alaska.  That influence can still be seen today.  The two cultures are intertwined through the Russian Orthodox church.  Visit the church and parsonage in Unalaska.
