The Sandy River Lodge is located  500 miles from Anchorage on the Alaska Peninsula. It would be difficult to find a place more remote than the Sandy River Lodge. This remote Alaska fishing lodge is has been in operation for over thirty years.  Surrounded by remarkable scenery with wide open terrain, breath taking mountain views and volcanoes rising in the distance the scenery can be as amazing as the fishing.

This modest lodge, provides very comfortable riverside accommodations, where guests will stay two to a room. 

With very little competition on the river and having the best guides in the business, everyone who comes to the Sandy has an extraordinary fishing experience.

KING SEASON: (June – July)

The Sandy is hands down, one of the best king salmon fisheries in the world.  These fish are averaging 20 – 30 pounds and love to chase flies!

SILVER SEASON: (August – September)

While the Sandy is known for its amazing king salmon runs and world class steelhead, its silver salmon fishing is top notch as well.  It is common to catch 8 – 15 pound fish all day, with some fish tipping the scales at over 20 pounds!

STEELHEAD SEASON: (September – October)

With 13 miles of water essentially all to yourself, it is like having your own private steelhead river.  Ocean bright fish with a crimson mean streak await your fly every day!
